Where is my first and only love? The Love of my Life
My friend, confidant, caregiver and lover
I have search for years and years
With anguish and tears

I have looked, waited, walked, and waited
To my heart nearly burst
Because of looking for my one and only first
Is such an overwhelming hurt

First kiss, first hug, my first love
I only need one...just one
But to no avail I have not found that one
The smile, warmth and touch that means
so much when one is in need

I look at others that have met and won
Their first love The love I only dream of
Someone that would share my love and life

I asked, prayed, and searched
Like someone lost looking for an oasis
Even tried looking in various places
Taken opinions from others but nothing seems to
Answer my longing feeling but hurt
