Girl

Flip your hair,
Flash a smile,
Laugh it off.
Show them you don’t care.
They’re only them.
It doesn’t matter.
But tension’s in the air.

Invisible girl,
That’s what you are.
How long will it last?
Invisible girl,
Your laughter hides your scars.
Invisible girl,
You’re part of my world,
But you’ve got a broken heart.

This game you’re playing,
This act you put on,
You’ve got the whole world fooled.
To them you’re fine.
But deep inside,
They don’t see the real you.

Invisible girl,
That’s what you are.
How long will it last?
Invisible girl,
Your laughter hides your scars.
Invisible girl,
You’re part of my world,
But you’ve got a broken heart.

Invisible girl,
How long will it take
For your show not to go on?
Invisible girl,
Hold your head high,
Stop the show;
Don’t live a lie.
Invisible girl,
Show who you are.
The fear cannot go on.

Invisible girl,
That’s what you are.
How long will it last?
Invisible girl,
Your laughter hides your scars.
Invisible girl,
You’re part of my world,
But you’ve got a broken heart.

You’re my invisible girl
And your heart’s in the right place.
My dear invisible girl,
Stand tall now,
Show your face.
Forget what they think
And shake off the fear.
Live your life
How it’s meant to be lived.
You won’t be invisible then,
Invisible girl.
