Out of the sky the rain does fall
To wet the faces of us all.
Although the rain is cold and wet,
It cannot hide the tears I've kept
Inside my heart, inside my soul.
I wait for twelve O'clock to toll.
And as I wait I think of you
And how you've gotten me so down and blue.
The lightning strikes, the thunder roars
God knows my heart is ripped and torn.
The wind is howling through the night;
The moon's not shining,
But there's still light.
I'll wait for you as long as it takes
But the longer I wait,
The more my heart breaks
Because...............
Out of the sky the rain does fall
To wet the faces of us all.
